A multivideo enables the reproduction of different videos at the same time, in parallel, using one single viewer. When you import a multivideo to PlayFilm and categorise it as such on its Properties panel, the system interprets it and shows in the canvas one of the videos composing it. There is a multivideo browser enabling to switch between one video and another in the canvas without losing the sense of location of each one of them within the multivideo.
This browser has the appearance of a matrix (grid) of videos in which the active video is marked with shading. By clicking on any of the non-shaded positions, you can enable the view of any other video of the multivideo. Besides this direct access to any of the videos, you can also shift the active video by using the arrows displayed next to the sides of the canvas. Bear in mind that arrows will only display if there is one more video in the multivideo, on the corresponding side.
To enable these controllers, you will have to import a multivideo to your Media library and drag it to the canvas or to the timeline. You can also create a multivideo using the Multivideo Generator App. Once the video is on the timeline, when you click on it, the browser and the arrows will show up and you will be ready to use them.
