The Replace element action enables the substitution of a video element in your project for another video element. When it comes to videos, it’s recommendable to make sure the old and new videos have the same length or duration.
This practice is very helpful if you want to substitute an old version of video or image with more recent one in your Timeline composition. You can start working on the project and later on, when the composition is done, simply replace one file for another, without moving any media on Timeline in a matter of minutes. Before you start replacing elements, make sure you’ve uploaded the new sources and appended “_v2” to the resource name (that’s for commodity).
To make a video replacement, you only have to search the element on the timeline, click on it to open its Properties panel and in the General area, on the Video or Image drop-down menu, specify the new version of the video or media.
